Graduated with Honours as Bachelor in Technology in Chemical Engineering from the prestigious Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur and started his entrepreneur’s journey post graduation.

He is a seasoned entrepreneur and technologist with over five decades of experience in developing technologies, engineering, and constructing more than 175 surfactant and specialty chemical plants across 45 countries. As a patent holder in film reactor technology and emission control, he has led pioneering innovations in both fossil and renewable-based chemical processes.

A mentor and investor in next-generation surfactant technologies, Sanjay actively supports R&D in areas such as biosurfactants, membrane separations, castor-based specialities, and humectants. He is an Emeritus Member of the American Oil Chemists’ Society and holds key memberships in several prestigious Indian and international technical bodies.

Sanjay has authored and presented numerous technical papers on green surfactants and is recognized as a thought leader in the global home and personal care industry.
